Raymond Grizzle
Much of my recent research has involved restoration of oyster reefs and oyster aquaculture in New England, including integrated farming methods for oysters and seaweeds. My laboratory also has participated in a variety of seafloor mapping projects focusing on towed underwater video, but also including sonar and other remote sensing techniques. Other research topics include the effects of marine protected areas on seafloor ecology and fisheries, impacts of aquaculture activities on benthic communities, and succession of fouling communities on aquaculture cages.
