The University of New Hampshire is a national leader in delivering marine science education programs to students, teachers and the general public. Our outreach and public education initiatives are led through some of our major research programs, such as New Hampshire Sea Grant and the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping, and through the far-reaching efforts of the UNH Marine Docents and marine education and extension specialists.

Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership
The Piscataqua Region Estuaries Partnership (PREP) is a collaboration-driven local organization and National Estuary Program housed at the University of New Hampshire. Through community collaboration, PREP monitors, restores, and protects the health of the lakes, rivers, streams, and the Great Bay and Hampton-Seabrook estuaries in the Piscataqua Region Watershed.

In the SeaPerch underwater robotics program, students learn basic engineering and science concepts while building an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) from low-cost, easily accessible materials.
