Description:
Researchers at the Center for Ocean Engineering are working with SINTEF Aquaculture and Fisheries, Norway, and the United States Naval Academy to better understand the external loadings and response of closed contained fish cages. The response of these floating recirculation systems to various environmental forces is unknown. Therefore, UNH personnel are assisting in tow tank experiments at the US Naval Academy. This information is being used in the design, construction and deployment of a full-scale system in Norway in 2013.
