Participants will agree to the following upon registration.
Rules
- The game begins at 8:00 am on November 1, 2021 and ends at midnight on November 15, 2021.
- Participants must download the GooseChase app onto a mobile device to play. The GooseChase will ask for location services, and this must be allowed to play the game and to complete some of the missions.
- Missions will be dropped into the game throughout the two weeks.
- Participants can play as an individual or as a team. If playing as a team, then one individual will register for the entire team.
- Points are assigned to each mission. Complete a mission and receive points.
- In cases where a specific answer is required and your answer is not correct, then points will be deducted.
- Go above and beyond in answering a question and points could be added to your score!
- In the event of a tie, names will be drawn to determine the winner.
- Inappropriate pictures or answers will be deleted, and the participant(s) will be removed from the game.
- Pictures and mission responses may be posted to social media or used in other marketing promotions. Participants will be asked to complete a waiver upon registration.
- Please do not take photos of other people without their permission
- For missions that are located outdoors, please no trespassing and stay safe!
Photo and Content Sharing
I grant permission to UNH’s School of Marine Science and Ocean Engineering and it's entities to use photos, videos, or mission responses collected through the Ocean Discovery Challenge for publicity on social media, web content and other advertising platforms. We understand the sensitively surrounding sharing pictures on social media and the internet. You will have the option to either release photos, videos, and missions or you may choose to release only mission responses.
