Introduction to Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA)

Join a 2-week online course with pre-recorded lectures, live interactions, and a certification in IMTA as modeled by UNH's Center for Sustainable Seafood Systems and NH Sea Grant.

This course is designed to cover every aspect of an Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture ocean system, as modeled by the University of New Hampshire. The course will provide pre-recorded lectures from State permitting agencies, aquaculture professors and researchers, commercial fishing partners, marketers, marine operation experts, seafood market experts, and a restauranteur. The course will cover topics such as local permitting examples (NH & MA), branding and marketing, animal health, system maintenance, and research goals of the UNH model. There will also be opportunities for live virtual interactions through written discussion threads and live video calls. 

This program is offered with support from UNH's Center for Sustainable Seafood Systems, New Hampshire Sea Grant, and UNH Extension.
