Instructions for schools arriving by bus
Bus drop off and pick up location is at the corner of Service Road and Library Way. Map available here.
- From Route 4 take Main Street thru rotary and continue past the Whittemore Center (on left). Take a right at intersection just past the Whittemore Center onto College Road. Proceed approximately a ¼ mile to Service Road on right. Take a right and proceed behind the Service Building to the overpass at the corner of Library Way.
- From downtown Durham, take Main Street past Thompson Hall. Proceed approximately ¼ mile. Proceed to next intersection and take a left onto College Road. Proceed approximately a ¼ mile to Service Road on right. Take a right and proceed behind the service building to the overpass at the corner of Library Way.
- Guests will walk a short distance to the Jere A. Chase Ocean Engineering Laboratory from Library Way. Proceed under the overpass. Once through the overpass, bear left. Proceed straight and follow the signs to Ocean Discovery Day.
- Volunteers will be available at the drop off location to provide assistance as needed. Individuals with mobility concerns should contact Sally Nelson at email@example.com or 603-862-2987.
Bus parking is available at no charge in Moils Lot. This lot is located off of Main Street. When exiting Library Way, take a left onto College Road. Proceed to lights. Take a left onto Main Street. Proceed thru traffic circle taking the second exit, continue on Main Street. Mast Road is on the right. Take a right and then the next right into parking lot.
Parking instructions for those arriving by car
Visitor parking is available in the Sage Way Visitor Lot, located next to the Parking & Transit Center at 20 Sage Way. The parking fee is $1.25 per hour. Please use the Pay & Display kiosks located in the lot to retrieve a parking permit which must be displayed on your vehicle’s dash board. Credit cards or coin accepted. Failure to display a parking permit will result in ticketing.
OVERFLOW PARKING: Should the Sage Way Visitor Lot fill, Ocean Discover Day participants may use Parking Lot A (Commuter/Faculty and Staff Parking) located directly across from the Sage Way Lot. A parking permit is required and must be displayed on your vehicle’s dash. Retrieve your parking permit from the Park & Display kiosk located in the Safe Way Lot.
Please note that parking directions provided here apply only to Ocean Discovery Day visitors on September 16, 2016. Attempting to use these directions for other events/visits at UNH may be a parking violation and result in ticketing.
