New Hampshire Sea Grant Research Symposium

This biannual symposium is designed to showcase the results of recently funded N.H. Sea Grant projects and provide a forum to discuss best practices in translating cross-disciplinary science to action through integrated research, education and engagement – a hallmark of Sea Grant. Symposium participants will also learn how successful NHSG research projects strive to address the core tenants of Sea Grant work to be responsive, relevant, integrated and engaged.

Ocean Discovery Day

Touch a horseshoe crab, drive a remotely operated vehicle, and map the ocean floor at the University of New Hampshire’s Ocean Discovery Day! Held each fall, Ocean Discovery Day provides visitors with an opportunity to explore the wonders of the ocean through interactive exhibits and demonstrations. Visitors can make a fish print, band a lobster, taste a seaweed smoothie and see the plankton that form the base of the food chain in N.H.’s Great Bay. Watch a SCUBA diving demonstration to learn how UNH scientists conduct research below the waves, and learn more about marine snow and tern restoration at the Isles of Shoals.
