Summer 2006 Statistics for University of New Hampshire students attending the Shoals Marine Laboratory

In the summer of 2006, there were 155 students who attended courses at SML, 22 of those were from UNH. A total of 791 credits were awarded from SML, 118 of which went to UNH students (15%).

Every year the Shoals Marine Lab awards thousands of dollars in scholarships and financial aid. In the summer of 2006, the Shoals Marine Lab awarded $99,500 in scholarships: $31,000 was given to UNH students - 32% of all SML scholarships. 100% of UNH students requesting assistance received aid and the average award was 52% of total tuition. In 2006, SML had $34,000 in aid available specifically for UNH students.

SML also has a great work-study program! Students live and work on the island at a time when they are not attending class. Students can earn about $350/week which includes room and board.
