Center for Marine Biology - CMB
Center for Ocean Engineering - COE
Center for Ocean Sciences - COS
Over the years UNH has developed particular strength in the areas of marine biology, ocean engineering and ocean science in numerous departments within the College of Life Sciences and Agriculture (COLSA) and the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences (CEPS). In order to foster multidisciplinary and interdepartmental interactions in these areas, the Marine Program formed the Centers for Marine Biology (CMB), Ocean Engineering (COE) and Ocean Science (COS) in the early 1990s.
Today, CMB, COE & COS provide an organizational structure through which faculty and students with interests in marine biology, ocean engineering and ocean science can work together in multidisciplinary teams and apply for funds from the Marine Program to support small research initiatives and professional travel.
The Centers are administered by senior faculty members on a rotating basis. Dr. David Berlinsky currently serves as the Director of the Center for Marine Biology. Dr. Kenneth Baldwin and Dr. Janet Campbell, currently serve as Directors of the Center for Ocean Engineering and the Center for Ocean Science, respectively. For additional information on the Centers, please contact the Directors through the information listed in the left side bar of this page.
