• Transfer conservation minded fishing technologies to the commercial fishing industry that- reduce or eliminate bycatch of threatened or endangered species
- reduce benthic impacts by mobile fishing gears
- increase fishing selectivity
• Facilitate cooperative fisheries research between industry and academic partners,
• Design and investigate aquaculture technologies, innovative fishing strategies and bycatch reporting models,
• Provide Satety-at-Sea programs to the ME, NH and MA fishing communities, and
• Seafood safety, HACCP and best handling strategies
