Barbaros Celikkol
Ph.D. University of New Hampshire, 1972
- Professor of Mechanical Engineering
- Professor of Ocean Engineering
Research Areas
Open ocean aquaculture engineering, marine oil spill response technology, environmental modeling
Research Emphasis
Dr. Celikkol's interests lie in the field of kinematics, dynamics, and vibration of mechanical systems; computational mechanics; modeling of ocean systems, particularly coastal and estuarial circulation, and dynamics of flexible machine elements, and his research interests are in the areas of ocean engineering such as open ocean aquaculture engineering, environmental modeling and oil spill response technology. His current research projects are: Open Ocean Aquaculture: Offshore Engineering (funded by NOAA), Open Ocean Aquaculture: Infrastructure (funded by NOAA), and Hampton/Seabrook Harbor Study (funded by the New Hampshire Port Authority).
