Thanks to the work of researchers at N.H. Sea Grant and UNH Cooperative Extension, New Hampshire-raised steelhead trout are making a splash in restaurants and seafood markets across northern New England.
For some, it helps to take a step back to see the big picture; for Helen Cheng (UNH '14), it was her relocation from N.H. to the Capital Beltway that allowed her to see how local coastal issues are being addressed at the national level.

University of New Hampshire alumnus Brendan Newell '15 has been awarded a John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship for 2016. Sponsored by the National Sea Grant College Program, the year-long fellowship matches current and recent graduate students with hosts in the legislative and executive branches of government.
For the next few weeks, restaurants along the Seacoast will be serving up the results of an aquaculture project aimed at supplementing fishermen's dwindling incomes.
