The
major mission of JEL is research. However, the Laboratory also participates
in the University's other major missions, education and service. JEL's
major roles in education involve our faculty teaching courses on the
main campus, overseeing graduate student theses and incorporating undergraduates
into their research programs. The Laboratory also participates in a
variety of public education endeavors, most of which are conducted by
the UNH Marine Docents program.
